Quiet and little impact

I got this to mount on a hybrid electric kit and was hoping it would be fairly quiet. I got my wish but it is possibly too quiet. And the noise it makes isn’t pleasant to my ear one bit. Very short and no resonance. More of a sound effect than something you can crash. It is built very well and I imagine in the right hands it will be fantastic but it didn’t live up to my expectations, which were that it would be similar to the Pearl anarchy or something like that. Maybe the larger model is more of a crasher and this is an accompaniment. Alone it seems obsolete.

trashy in a good way

If you want to add some trash sounds to your kit then this is a great, cheap addition. Can be raked with your stick to create a guiro effect but I just like hitting it!!

Long surnom pour un effet très court

L'impression d'avoir acquis un objet mieux fabriqué que le soin apporté a sa sonorité.
Cependant, après quelques mois auprès des autres instruments du studio il trouve toujours sa place quelque part. Et dans les grooves c'est assez facile aussi.
Le son est pas fou, c'est entre le clic, le rimshot et le son d'un hh fermé. N'hésitez pas a tordre légérement les lames pour l'effet désiré, ou de jouer de rondelles nylon pour ne garder que le son des plaques. En guiro c'est sympa, mais la ligne est courte je trouve sur ce petit modèle.
En bref, ca peut se fabriquer, mais celui-ci est bien conçu, solide et assez classe.

Der Turbo Crasher ist vielseitig einsetzbar, z.B. an der HiHat-Stange montiert, an einen Halter montiert oder einfach nur auf die Standtom gelegt. Musikalisch wunderbar für kurze laute Akzente zu verwenden oder für Grooves als Abwechslung zur HiHat und auch hervorragend für Latin-Sachen als Cascara.

Da mir der Sound auf Dauer etwas zu aufdringlich war, habe ich die Platten mit etwas Tape abgeklebt. Nun ist der Sound etwas gedämpfter, nicht mehr ganz so krachig. Damit wird die Handhabung etwas leichter und hemmungsloseres Spiel ermöglicht.
Ansonsten gefällt mir das Teil sehr gut und kommt häufig zum Einsatz. Bisher nur leichte Abnutzungsspuren, also durchaus robust und beständig.
Den Meinl turbo Crasher Large habe ich mir auch angeschaut, mich aber wegen der flexibleren Montagemöglichkeit, (aufgrund der Größe) und des leichteren Sounds für die kleine Version entschieden.
Klare Kaufempfehlung meinerseits!
