Convert a spare standard classical guitar to contrabass

I wanted a classical, nylon-core strung, contrabass for ensemble work. I had an old standard-scale Alhambra 8C that I didn't use any more. I bought these contrabass strings for it and they work fine. I am very pleased.
*They are really intended for a purpose made longer scale length classical contrabass, but they give good results on my 65cm scale guitar.
* They do have tapered ends for the tie-block/bridge and the tuning posts.
* I didn't need to enlarge the tie-block or tuning-post holes.
* I did need to adjust the 5th and 6th string grooves in the nut.
* The 6th string doesn't resonate as well as on a purpose built contrabass, but it is still pretty good.
* If you are experienced at guitar maintenance, you can do this conversion yourself.

une vieille classique qui traine ?

Génial !!!
transformer sa vieille classique en guitare double basse ou contrebasse : un bonheur
elle fera meme office de basse dans une formation unplugged dans la rue par exemple et developpera bien plus de volume qu'une basse acoustique ( je n en ai jamais entendue de satisfaisante )

un investissement que je ne regrette pas du tout

Son unas cuerdas que desarrollan un sonido de bajo acústico, pero con mucho sonido sin ser enchufada la guitarra española. Estoy encantado con ellas, pedí dos juegos y, de hecho, ya voy a pedir otros dos. Se las puse a una guitarra H.B. española de formato auditórium (Harley Benton Santos Series C-40SCE BK), y no veas lo bien que suena. Amplié los agujeros de la 5ª y 6ª cuerdas en los amarres de estas (aunque no sería necesario). Me gustaría que trajeran como las cuerdas de acústica unas bolas para no tener que sujetarlas a la manera clásica de las cuerdas de española, que se hace muy difícil. Por el restp las prefiero a un bajo acústico.

Der seltene Einsatz einer klassischen Bassgitarre erschwert eine sofortige Bewertung. Nach zwei Jahren erlaube ich mir aber das Urteil: Mehr kann ich auf
dem Hopf-Ungetüm nicht erwarten, die
Saiten würden wohl noch mehr Bass liefern, wäre der Korpus größer. Sie sind
sorgfältig gewickelt, die dicken wg. der Massse sogar zweimal, das schwingt schon mächtig, und sie klingen sauber.
Im Ensemble machen sie jedenfalls einen guten Ton.
